    I’m going to talk about Lesson 21 of Unit 4, New Primary English for China Student’s Book ,Grade 5. I’ll divide the lesson into three parts.

    Part One 

    Teaching aims and Demands

    Knowledge and ability:

    1. Enable the students to listen, say, read the dialogue.

    2. Enable the students to understand the dialogue by computer,and the teacher’s teaching.

    3. Train the students’ ability of speaking and listening;

    Procedures and methods:

    Task-based teaching method and communicate language teaching.

    Value of emotion and attitude:

    Foster the students to be interested in English and know “I work out,I am happy”.

    Teaching key and Difficult point

    1. Key points

    Enable the students to grasp the dialogue.

    2. Difficult points

    Enable the students to read and act the dialogue in real situation.

    Part Two 

    The Teaching and learning Methods

    According to physiological characteristic of the primary students, who are curious, emulous, active, imitative and show-off, I mainly use the task-based teaching approach.

    Teaching aids

    1. A computer and CAI.

    2. A recorder and a tape.

    Part Three 

    Teaching Process

    Step 1 Warm-up and revision

    As for the psychological characteristics of children,A chant can make Ss feel pleased and relaxed and can inspire their passion, and also can arouse the Ss' desire of performance and participation and can lead the Ss into a strong atmosphere of English studying. I start the new lesson by a chant, and it makes preparation for the text study.

    Step 2 Presentation

    In this part, I’ll teach new words and sentence. First I let them read the dialogue and help each other. Give then methods to let them try to read new words. They’re football basketball volleyball rugby  and hockey.Drill the words one by one, team by team.Then I help Ss to remember the new words.And let them master other ball games.

    The second, I let them read the text. Then drill the pattern in dialogue.I give them some questions to  understand it.

    Next I play the recorder. Let the Ss listen and imitate the dialogue. Pay attention to their pronunciation and intonation.

    Step 3 Practice

    Match is a good way to the children’ study, and it is an optimal method to inspire the Ss’ interest of learning. So I design a match in this step. CAI shows some words and let them say quickly. Ss can try to the first to answer. Then I let them say in pairs or groups.Let them practice the words and the text. And do exercises.

    Step 4 Production

    In this step, I use the task-based approach to train the Ss’ ability of use English in a language environment. So I create some fine language atmospheres by letting Ss make up a dialogue and perform in groups using the new words and the text they have learned. Ss are trained to cooperate and communicate. Meantime, Ss can learn that listening to the others carefully is a polite manner.

    Step 5 Summary

    In this step, let Ss summarize and organize the knowledge of this lesson. Consolidation is a very important part in English study. Therefore, I assign homeworks to Ss.Let them consolidate the knowledges.
