    Contents:Dialogue; Work with language, The rhyme and the song.
    Teaching Aims:
    1.Know about months and seasons in English.
    2.Can tell the date and count from first to thirtieth.
    3.Can talk about the differences between the arrangements of two      schools.
    4.Can talk about one’s daily routines.
    5.To practice predicting the content of a text by using pictures.
    6.To introduce adverbs of frequency and reinforce the present simple tense.

    Main Tasks:
    1.Can talk about one’s daily routines;
    2.Can talk about the differences between the arrangements of two schools. Remember the months of a year.
    3.Tell the dates of a year.
    4.Language focus:
    a)He sometimes eats noodles.
    b)Does he often do some reading on Sunday?
    c)What time does school start?
    d)How often does he watch TV?
    e)When does the autumn term start?
    5.Daily Expressions in communication:
    Would you like to go to shopping?

    Teaching Difficulties:
    1.To interpret and use simple given information through describing, comparing and drawing conclusions.
    2.To state opinions using information in simple spoken texts.
    3.To talk in the real scene.

    Preparations:Tape recorder, tapes, pictures, word cards, soft wares, PC

    The Teaching Procedures:(Period 1)

    1.Teach a new song: Months of the Year
    2. Free talk: Ask the pupils about their school lives.
    3. Declare the topic and the aims of the text.
    1. Learn the months of the year.
    2. Ask some of the pupils answer the questions.
    3. Prepare to listen to the dialogue.
    Presentation
    1. Show pupils the title of the unit and encourage them to answer the questions according to the actual situation.
    2. Rephrase their answers in English and introduce the new words in the situation, like spring, winter, the first of Sep. and seasons.
    3. Ask pupils to look at the table as they listen to the dialogue.
    4. Ask pupils to repeat the dialogue when acting.
    1. Look and think of the question.
     2. Answer the questions.
    3 Read and act out the dialogue.
    4. Repeat the dialogue.
    Practise
    1. Show the table in 2, then play the tape and ask pupils to retell some specific information about Rose and Tom’s school year.
    2. Guide to fill in the forms of months and seasons, and then make sentences.
    1. Play the game with teacher and in groups.
    2. Talk in pairs and then talk in the class.
    Develop
    1. Guide to fill in the sentences in the Activity Book.
    2. Guide to sing the song again and chant the song words.
    1. Read and write the dialogue.
    2. Sing and chant.

    1. Copy the new words and the dialogue.
    2. To finish the exercises in the activity book.
    3. To act out the dialogue to your friend.

    1. Sing along:
    (1) To recycle vocabulary from the previous unit.
    (2) To produce a condition to make the output of vocabulary easier.

    2. Sing the song in the book.
    Practice
    1. Make sure that you point to the relevant flash cards as you sing.
    2. Then deliver the flash cards to pupils and get them to “hold” instead of “point” as they sing. For those who fail or make a mistake in holding, get them to perform singing again later.
    1. Play the game with teacher and in groups.
    2. Sing the song with the flash cards.
    3. Talk in pairs and complete the sentences.

    1. Guide to fill in the form in the book.
