    Contents:Story Time, Project, Did You Know?
    Teaching Aims:
    1.Know about months and seasons in English.
    2.Can tell the date and count from first to thirtieth.
    3.Can act out the story.
    4.Can talk about the day of the holiday in China.
    5.To introduce adverbs of frequency and reinforce the present simple tense.

    Main Tasks:
    1.Can talk about one’s daily routines;
    2.Can talk about the differences between the arrangements of two schools. Remember the months of a year.
    3.Tell the dates of a year.
    4.Language focus:
    a)He sometimes eats noodles.
    b)Does he often do some reading on Sunday?
    c)What time does school start?
    d)How often does he watch TV?
    e)When does the autumn term start?

    Teaching Difficulties:
    1.To interpret and use simple given information through describing, comparing and drawing conclusions.
    2.To state opinions using information in simple spoken texts.
    3.To talk in the real scene.

    Preparations:Tape recorder, tapes, pictures, word cards, soft wares, PC

    The Teaching Procedures:

    1. Dictation.
    2. Introduce the topic and the aims of the text.
    1.Talk about the life like and the school year
    2. Listen and prepare to listen to the dialogue.
    Pre-task
    Story time:
    1. To reinforce the language in the unit.
    2. To expose pupils to some language in a natural context.
    3. To practice reading simple language.
    1. Listen and try to understand it.
    2. Listen and answer the questions.
    3. Read and act out the story.
    While-task
    1. Ask pupils to look at the pictures on the page and say what they think the story will be/what the girl’s grandpa’s daily routine is.
    2. Read the story/play the tape and let pupils follow along in their books. Ask pupils what their daily routines are or their parents’.w ww.xxjxsj.cN
    3. For homework, pupils could make a zigzag book showing his/her routine story. Encourage them to put in the dates and some speech bubbles.
     
    1. Look at the pictures on the page and say what they think.
     2. Pupils what their daily routines are or their parents’.
    3. Know some more important dates in some countries.
    Develop
    Project:
    1. Demo with a pupil to show how to make the dialogue.
    2. Group the children in 4, get them to make dialogue and fill in the table.
     
    1. Read and write the dialogue, then fill in the blanks.
    2. Sing and chant.

    1. To finish the exercises in the activity book.
    2. To act out the story to your friend.
    3. Self-assessment.
