    Contents:Story Time, project, Did You Know?
    Teaching Aims:
    1.Know about months and seasons in English.
    2.Can tell the date and count from first to thirtieth.
    3.Can act out the story.
    4.Can talk about the day of the holiday in China.
    5.To introduce adverbs of frequency and reinforce the present simple tense.

    Main Tasks:
    1.Can talk about one’s daily routines;
    2.Can talk about the differences between the arrangements of two schools. Remember the months of a year.
    3.Tell the dates of a year.
    4.Language focus:
    a)He sometimes eats noodles.
    b)Does he often do some reading on Sunday?
    c)What time does school start?
    d)How often does he watch TV?
    e)When does the autumn term start?

    Teaching Difficulties:
    1.To interpret and use simple given information through describing, comparing and drawing conclusions.
    2.To state opinions using information in simple spoken texts.
    3.To talk in the real scene.

    Preparations:Tape recorder, tapes, pictures, word cards, soft wares, PC

    The Teaching Procedures:

    Story time:
    1. Listen and watch the story, try to understand the meaning.
    2. Listen again and ask pupils to answer the questions.
    3. Focus pupils on the pictures first and ask the children what advice should we give to “Bobby”.
    4. Let the pupils read Part 1 of the story.
    5. Ask pupils to repeat the story when acting.
    6. Ask the pupils to order the sequence of how to plant a tree.
    1. Listen and try to understand it.
    2. Listen and answer the questions.
    3. Read and act out the story.
    Presentation
    Project:
    1. Allow the pupils to read the park rules by themselves.
    2. Give them enough time to think and design the sings.
    3. Exhibit their designs around the classroom, ask the children to vote the best one.
    1. Make dialogues with teacher and classmates, and fill the table.
    2. Talk in pairs and then talk in the class.
    3. Know some more important dates in some countries.
    Development
    Did you know?
    1. Let the pupils look at the photographs.
    2. Lead a discussion on which of the plants, flowers, bushes and trees can be found in China.
    3. Encourage guessing if pupils are unsure.
